  Memory care refers to specialized residential settings tailored for individuals with Alzheimer's disease or other forms of dementia. These environments prioritize the safety and well-being of residents, offering the extra care needed as dementia progresses beyond what many families can manage at home. Given concerns like wandering or elopement, memory care facilities often provide secured units to ensure residents remain safe. These communities are designed to foster comfort and security, with many offering both private and semi-private rooms to reduce isolation and loneliness. Memory care environments are a vital resource, providing the specialized care and attention that families need for their loved ones. 

 Adult Family Care Homes (AFCHs) are residential homes designed to provide personalized care services to individuals who still require assistance with daily activities. Typically, the owner or provider lives in the home and offers hands-on care for up to five residents, creating a more intimate, supportive environment. These homes are ideal for individuals with delicate care needs and often provide cost-effective solutions. Services typically include meals, housekeeping, laundry, medication management, personal care, and social activities. With a caregiver always on-site, AFCHs can accommodate residents with varying levels of care, including assistance with dressing, bathing, eating, and continence management, ensuring each resident’s needs are met in a safe and comfortable setting.
